Rīga Stradiņš University (RSU) is a public university located in the Latvian capital Riga. It is autonomous and academically free to pursue its own goals and tasks, working for the benefit of the state and society and offering a wide array of academic and professional education and research opportunities in the fields of healthcare, social care, social sciences and natural sciences. RSU is a modern, prestigious university acknowledged in Europe and the world in the fields of health and social sciences, with humanity always at the centre of its attention.

Staris developed RSU’s existing brand identity in areas such as signage design guidelines, car branding and exhibition stands. The placement of the signs was defined using an original method; Staris prepared prototypes for all of the signage types, the university buildings were surveyed and appropriate signage was devised for every individual location. Notes and photos were made as a Staris team member held the signage type in the appropriate place. This method helped to survey and define more than 500 signs in four buildings over a short period of time and with outstanding quality.
