ŠVARCMUIŽA HONEY

Revitalizing heritage

PACKAGING DESIGN

Švarcmuiža (Schwartzenhof) is one of the most beautiful manors in Riga, originally known as Hagenhof (Hagenshof), from which the name Āgenskalns is derived. Today, the manor has been expertly restored, showcasing ancient linden trees and a charming, well-maintained garden. In its current role, the building serves as a hub for business activities.

The owner has embarked on a creative venture in honey production, establishing beehives on the grounds of Švarcmuiža. For over four years, honey has been harvested and bottled in elegant, branded containers that proudly display the Švarcmuiža name. Instead of being sold, this honey is generously given as a special gift in limited quantities to the owner’s partners and friends.

For the last four years, Staris has crafted the packaging design for Švarcmuiža honey. The design reflects a historical aesthetic, using authentic color tones from the manor's façade. Each year, a compelling story connected to the manor is featured on the packaging, highlighting one of its unique tales while the design artistically brings these stories to life.
