Origo is a multifunctional retail and railway station complex in central Riga. A shopping centre at one of the Latvian capital’s main traffic intersections, it offers extensive shopping and entertainment under the same roof together with the major transportation hub of Riga Central Station. Origo offers a balanced mix of shopping, dining, everyday services, rail travel and leisure options. A popular port of call for Rigans and tourists alike, it also hosts national and international cultural events and social activities within the shopping centre’s buildings and out on Station Square.

Staris has developed a brand identity and many promotional campaigns. After the Origo brand launch, it attained a high brand rating and customer popularity, taking its rightful place among the leaders of the shopping centre market. Origo is the centre, the city’s face, for goals pursued and time effectively spent. We describe its personality as being very dynamic, with the ability to look wider and further, endowed with vitality and energy, multicultural, impulsive, sociable and active. The name comes from the Latin for ‘origin’, a starting point and an intersection of coordinates. The logo reflects this idea of the city’s most central trading centre, a circular centre with elements on the logotype above the letter ‘i’, symbolizing vertical movement and creating similarities with the Station Square’s tall, landmark Origo clock.
